About him:
Started his professional training in the environmental area from his undergraduate and master’s studies where he carried out studies on the characterisation and dispersion of organic pollutants in coastal systems.
In his doctoral studies, in Environmental Biotechnology, he developed research on the bioremediation process of agricultural soils contaminated with hydrocarbons and organochlorine pesticides.
At the industrial level, he has participated in bioremediation projects of hydrocarbon-contaminated soils in former oil refineries and railway yards through biostimulation, composting and bioventing processes.
Currently, he is Professor-Researcher of the Chemical Sciences Area of the Universidad La Salle México; he is leader of the Applied Environmental Science and Technology Research+Development+Innovation Group, carrying out projects of bioprospecting of microorganisms and organic waste for their use in biotechnological processes and projects of restoration of environmental matrices by means of physicochemical and biological treatment trains for the recovery of areas of environmental and social importance.
