About him:

Biologist and Doctor in Sciences (Biology) from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. He has 25 years of teaching experience and 17 years of research experience. He has taught undergraduate and graduate classes, and served as a synodal examiner for undergraduate, masters and doctoral exams. He has several publications in national and international indexed journals and chapters in scientific books. He has been responsible for and collaborated in several research projects. He currently works as a Full-Time Researcher in the field of Medical Education and since 2013 he is a full professor of the subject – Physiology – in the Propaedeutic Course of Initiation to Health Sciences. His current research field is focused on the study of socioemotional disorders presented by medical students, mainly anxiety, depression, burnout syndrome and suicidal ideation. He is secretary of the Research Committee of the Mexican School of Medicine. Peer reviewer of specialized international journals such as Heliyon, Journal of Language and Education. Environment and Social Psychology, Revista andina de educación, Psicogate, among others. In 2018 and 2022 he has been recognized with the Indivisa manent award to the best professor of the Mexican School of Medicine.
