About him:

He studied Pharmacy Chemist in Universidad La Salle, completed Master’s and Ph.D. studies in the Department of Pharmacy at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), including a doctoral stay at the University of Alcalá de Henares (Madrid) and a scholarship for the prestigious Residential School on Medicinal Chemistry at Drew University (New Jersey). Currently, he is a Full-Time Professor-Researcher at his Alma Mater since 2008, where he leads the Research Group in the Design, Isolation, and Synthesis of Bioactive Molecules. He has taught courses in Organic Chemistry, Pharmacology, Drug Development, and Protocol Development at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He supported knowledge dissemination during the pandemic through a YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@profemarcoloza/videos). He has published over 25 articles in high-impact international peer-reviewed journals, with his work receiving over 300 citations. Over 60 students have been part of his research group, engaging in activities such as Social Service, Short Stays, and Theses. He participates in supervisory committees for Master’s and Ph.D. programs at the Instituto Politécnico Nacional, Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro, and the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana. He is a member of the National Researchers System Level I, and his current research interests focus on drug development for chronic-degenerative conditions.
