About her:

In 2008, she graduated as a Bionic Engineer from the Interdisciplinary Professional Unit of Engineering and Advanced Technologies of the National Polytechnic Institute, IPN. In 2012, she obtained the degree of Master in Biomedical Engineering and in 2017 she obtained the degree of Doctor in Biomedical Engineering from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana Unidad Iztapalapa, UAM-I. She has six years of teaching experience at the Unidad Profesional Interdisciplinaria de Biotecnología, UPIBI and two years at Universidad La Salle México in the Faculty of Engineering, both teaching courses in the Biomedical area. Her research interests focus on tissue engineering, fabrication and characterisation of biomaterials, cell procurement, differentiation and isolation, as well as the biological and physico-chemical factors involved.

She is currently collaborating in projects related to this line of research in the Polymer Area of the UAM-I and in the Tissue Engineering Area of the Federico Gómez Children’s Hospital of Mexico. She has presented papers at national and international conferences and has also published scientific articles in indexed journals, and is a member of the National System of Researchers.
