Bachelor’s Degree in Food Chemistry, Faculty of Chemistry, UNAM. Master and Doctor in Chemobiological Sciences, ENCB of the IPN. Professor at the National School of Biological Sciences of the IPN and the Faculty of Chemical Sciences of the ULSA, teaching various courses at undergraduate, master’s and doctoral level.
Professor-researcher level “B” of the Research Group in Basic and Clinical Health Sciences. Lines of research: obesity, chronic degenerative diseases, metabolic syndrome and sleep hygiene, as well as multi-transdisciplinary health education programmes for obesity care and healthy habits. He has 20 publications in JCR, indexed and popular science journals, 6 book chapters and 1 scientific book, has participated in 35 national and international conferences and has directed 16 undergraduate and postgraduate theses.
Contributor to the journal Hablemos Claro en el Cuidado de la Salud. Collaborator in dissemination activities for self-care of health and dissemination of science in basic education (pre-school, primary and secondary). Co-responsible for the ANFARIS Project (Analysis of risk factors for health in the COVID-19 contingency).
She has been a member of the National System of Researchers (Candidate 2009-2013, Level I: 2018-2020), Head of the Health Research Group of the FCQ-ULSA (2013-2016), Member of the Mexican Society of Physiological Sciences and of the Mexican Association for the Multidisciplinary Study of Metabolic Syndrome, Member of the Technical Council of Ceneval for the EGEL in Chemistry, Member and Evaluator of the Steering Committee of the National Council for the Evaluation of Chemistry Science Programmes (CONAECQ), Member of the Academy of Biology and Secretary of the Research Committee at the FCQ of the ULSA, Member of the Evaluation Committees for foreign scholarships and research support programmes of the CONACYT-Government of the CDMX programme and Evaluator for the PAPIIT-UNAM Research Projects.
